30x40 cm ~ Painting, Pastel
oft pastel on 360 g/m² cardboard
30×40 cm
2025
This plein air pastel was created during the artist’s journey through Kamchatka.
It captures the first snowfall — that tender, quiet moment when autumn turns into winter. The scene depicts the SPA-hotel “Blue Lagoon”: ochre-yellow cottages stand out against a lilac-grey sky. The mountains on the horizon are hidden behind a veil of snow, and the wet asphalt road mirrors the trees, filling the landscape with a sense of calm and melancholy beauty.
Some trees have already shed their leaves, while others still glow with golden foliage — a poetic farewell to autumn.
The work combines realism and impressionistic lightness, conveying the fresh air and changing mood of Kamchatka.
The painting is not framed and not varnished, preserving the unique velvety texture of soft pastel known as the “butterfly effect.”
Collectors can choose a frame and passe-partout to match their interior or consult the artist. A simple wooden or plastic frame with acrylic glass can also be ordered for safe transportation.
