Original pastel artwork “Three Brothers. Avacha Bay” created in the technique of soft pastels on premium Pastelmat paper. This unique piece was painted en plein air during the artist’s summer journey across Kamchatka in 2023. The painting was created from life, on a high cliff far from civilization, in a place surrounded by mysteries and ancient legends.

The composition, executed in soft lavender tones with elements of Japanese minimalism, depicts three majestic sea stacks known as the Three Brothers, standing like guardians at the entrance of Avacha Bay. In the foreground, there are delicate branches and a tree trunk; in the middle ground — the shimmering ocean surface with the iconic rocks; and in the background — hilly landscapes with a volcano silhouette.

According to local legend, three brave brothers turned into stone to stop a massive ocean wave and protect their land from destruction. Since then, they have stood as eternal guardians of Kamchatka, meeting sunrises and sunsets for centuries.
