Biography

Yulia Shikhova, originally from Novosibirsk, Russia, currently lives and works in Berdsk, Novosibirsk Region. Her art has been influenced by her long-term residence in Kazakhstan on the shores of the Caspian Sea, her experience in extreme tourism, and her involvement in spiritual practices. Combined with her professional background as an organic chemist, these experiences have shaped her unique perspective on the world and human nature. She works in various styles and genres, including plein-air painting, abstraction, and neural network research. She positions herself as a multimedia artist with a preference for oil and pastel. A member of the Professional Union of Artists of Russia, a member of the ART-VUE Creative Group, a participant in more than thirty different (including three personal) exhibitions at venues of various levels (from regional to international). Julia Albert also conducts master classes in dry pastel and oil painting, as well as charity art therapy sessions using her own method.

At first glance, the artist's simple and unpretentious paintings and sketches are filled with inexhaustible optimism, love for life, nature, and the universe, which is why they always resonate with the hearts of grateful viewers.
