40x30 cm ~ Painting, Pastel
The original pastel study “Lena Pillars. Silence of the Northern Lake” was created from life in the summer of 2025 during a plein air journey across Yakutia. The artwork depicts the majestic Lena Pillars rising above the calm surface of a forest lake. The wild nature of the North reveals itself in its pristine beauty: coniferous forest, reflections in the water, cool gray-blue tones of the stone cliffs, and the ocher-orange shade of the lake water create a sense of harmony and peaceful stillness.
The work conveys the atmosphere of a cloudy northern day, filled with transparent air and a profound sense of solitude. This study is about serenity, the eternity of nature, and the power of the Arctic landscape.
