Original pastel sketch “Pines of the Kangalass Cape” (30×40 cm) was created from life in the summer of 2025 during a plein air art trip in Yakutia. The artwork captures one of the most picturesque places near Yakutsk — the Kangalass Cape, with a breathtaking view of the Lena River.

The evening sun paints the pine trees in warm golden tones, while their long violet shadows softly stretch across the ground. Through the trunks, you can glimpse the majestic Lena River with its islands glowing in the sunset light. The atmosphere of the northern evening conveys peace, spaciousness, and a meditative connection with nature.

Medium: soft pastel, premium 360 g/m² cardboard
Size: 30 × 40 cm
Year: 2025
Framing: unframed (collector may choose a frame and glass to match the interior)

The painting is not varnished, preserving the unique “velvety” effect of soft pastel, also known as the “butterfly pollen effect”. This gives the surface a special depth and a living, breathing quality.

This pastel work will become a refined addition to interiors in eco, Scandinavian, boho, or minimalistic styles, filling the space with northern tranquility and harmony.
